Abstract submission GUIDELINES
Abstracts are required for the following 3 purposes:
1. Travel Grant application,
2. Poster Presentation,
3. Participation in Early Career Researchers’ Tournament.
travel grant APPLICATION guidelines
Applicants must complete a Travel Grant Application form to be eligible for a Travel Grant. The applicant must also include an abstract. See requirements and information regarding abstract submission.
Priority will be given to applicants from economically disadvantaged area. However, applicants from all countries are welcome to submit. Young scientists and early career researchers are particularly encouraged to complete the application and an abstract to present. The applications will be selected based on the following criteria:
- Fair distribution of the # of applications from LMIC and # of early career researchers
- Fair distribution of the country of residence
- Quality of the abstract
Applicants must currently work or study in the field of pediatric respiratory infectious diseases. Documentation must be submitted on their institution’s letterhead with a letter from the department head confirming their current position.
One application per registrant.

Travel Grant Submission Deadline 1 June, 2019.
Travel Grant Recipients Notification by 1 July, 2019.
Travel grant recipients will receive a notification and are asked for their bank account information to process the travel grant amount. The amount will be paid to the recipient in a lump sum covering the registration fee, travel costs and accommodation. The recipient is personally responsible for using the lump sum of money to cover the costs.
Travel grant recipients are required to present their poster during the conference days and are personally responsible for printing, shipping, and set-up of posters.
